This spool adapter is a breakthrough in convenience and economy. In fact, it could pay for itself in wire savings the first time you use it! The adapter's unique design allows you to use a 4" diameter spool of wire on most MIG welder. That means you can now use a 4" diameter spool of wire where you could previously only use an 8" or a 12" diameter spool of wire. The spool adapter fits standard 2" diameter wire brake assemblies found on other MIG welders-this will not work for the HTP Inverter Welding machines.
*Not recommended for the HTP Mig 200i, MTS210, Pro Pulse 200 or 220, Pro Pulse 300 or Revolution 2500 -if you do purchase one for use with one of these machines you will have to install it backwards in order to use it-never recommended for use with aluminum*

Like all of the great products I have bought from HTP America, the spool adapter is very well made and a high quality product. I bought it as a “just in case” item and have not used it but I am very glad HTP America thought enough about its customers to create such an accessory. Just in case they need it. I don’t believe Miller or Lincoln offer something similar but I could be wrong. I love my HTP welders.
