this was the second one I purchased the first one had a small brass collar as a base and did not fit. I tried to use as is but it jammed my welder. since I have a Clark weld , parts are not available, I figured my bad. I ordered a second one and thought I would modify it. I was surprised on receipt that it was exactly what I needed, no brass collar just a small cone at the base. I called customer service which was helpful, but could not explain where the first bad part came from. they asked me if I had saved the the first purchased part and of course I had discarded it.
