E3 Tungsten Electrodes (E3), Purple Tip. A great substitute for Thoriated tungsten (red tip). A proprietary blend of three rare earth oxides. This tungsten works well on AC and DC processes on both inverter and transformer power sources. The electrode life is extended, keeps a sharpened point, and is non-radioactive.

These rare earth quad tungstens work really well for me. Long life and a very stable arc. I run 3/32 for pretty much everything and just vary my grind to change my arc cone. Inexpensive, long life, strong stable arc. One less thing to worry about. Thanks HTP!
